Tommaso Trionfi

Tommaso brings to Ixtens more than 23 years of management experience with early stage and larger global software and engineering companies. Prior to joining Ixtens in June 2010, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Wimba from 2000 to 2009. He led the growth of the company from a Research Institute technology to the leader of Web based SaaS collaboration software for the education market. At Wimba, Tommaso built a team of over 140 people spanning 3 countries, and organized marketing, sales, business development, product management and finance into a structured organization before the company was sold to Blackboard (BBBB). Prior to Wimba, Tommaso led business development at Omniticket Network, worked as Chief Operating Officer of Southern Europe for Colorlux, a global engineering company, and served as Chief Operating Officer of Fontenay Industries, where he led operations and key acquisitions. Tommaso received his MBA from INSEAD, and master's degree in Science and Technology with honors from the University of Grenoble. Tommaso is currently a member of the US council of INSEAD and a trustee of the INSEAD foundation.

Betsy brings to Ixtens 20 years of financial management experience. As the Chief Financial Officer of PlanetFeedback, which she co-founded in 1999, she led the financing of the company and merger with Intelliseek, which was sold to The Nielsen Company in 2006.  Prior to that, Betsy served on the executive management team of Dialog Bank, a start-up which grew into Troika Dialog, one of the leading financial institutions in Russia today. She was a private equity investor at Oak Tree Capital and has served as an advisor to several start-ups. She also worked as a fellow in International Economics at the Council on Foreign Relations. She serves on the board of Student Sponsor Partners and other education-related boards. Betsy received an M.B.A from Harvard Business School and an A.B. from Harvard University in Russian Language and Literature.

Paul comes to Ixtens with a 15-year track record  of building successful partnerships in digital media and e-commerce.  Most recently, Paul was Vice President, Commerce at game publisher OMGPOP, where he grew virtual item sales and ad sponsorships from scratch into multi-million dollar revenue streams.  Prior to that, Paul spent six years with Microsoft, rising to Director of Publisher Programs, managing strategic partnerships with financial services and media companies.  Before going to Microsoft in 2002, Paul was a founder and led business development at Triene, a start-up providing market data and modeling tools for financial analysts.  Prior to that, he managed technology groups on Wall Street, and spent 2 years at New York Times Electronic Media, part of the team that launched nytimes.com.  Paul holds a BA from Princeton University. He lives with his family in New York City.

Julia is the driving force behind Ixtens multichannel commerce solutions and is currently responsible for all aspects of Ixtens development efforts, from architecture and design to systems operations. Julia is a Research Assistant of Computer Science at A.P. Ershov IIS SD RAS (A.P. Ershov Institute of Informatics Systems is a part of the Russian Academy of Sciences ) where she led research efforts in field of software efficiency and reliability, accumulation and processing of knowledge about optimizing and restructuring program transformations for parallel computers. Julia received a Masters degree in Mathematics from Novosibirsk State University and is currently on leave from a PhD program in Computer Science at the A.P. Ershov Institute of Information Systems. Julia frequently speaks at technology-related events and has authored a series of articles on computer science, published by Springer, Novosibirsk State University, Computer Center of the Russian Academy of Science, and A.P. Ershov Institute of Informatics Systems.

Eugene is a seasoned international business leader, and has been involved in electronic commerce since 1996. Prior to founding Ixtens in 2004, Eugene was the CEO of Quantum Art, an on-demand business solutions company, which he still chairs. Prior to founding Quantum Art, Eugene was the Director of Multimedia Development at Fountainhead Management (acquired by Intershop Communications in 1998).  Prior to joining Fountainhead, Eugene managed a long-term consulting engagement for Citibank, working with the internal technology division to develop the bank’s first Internet-based global financial platform. Prior to Citibank, Eugene served as Senior Financial Advisor at Interpegro Trading Company, managing the firm’s international financial transactions across a wide channel of partners, and supporting the firm’s Moscow, London, Berlin, Warsaw, and Zurich offices. Eugene holds a Masters Degree in Philosophy and Sociology from Moscow State University, and speaks several languages. He lives in Long Island right on the water with his two wonderful kids.

Rob comes to Ixtens with over 20 years of integration, eCommerce, marketplace, and product management experience. Most recently Rob was Senior Director of Marketplaces and Data Integration for GSI Commerce (now an eBay company). In that role, Rob created GSI’s product offerings around market places and managed all integrations between GSI, its retail clients, suppliers, warehouses, logistic providers, marketplaces, and marketing organizations. Prior to GSI, Rob was an eCommerce and CRM strategist helping organizations like the American Red Cross, XM Satellite Radio, Sanofi Pasteur, Easter Seals realize their eCommerce and CRM objectives. Rob has an MBA from Lehigh University and undergraduate degrees in Chemical Engineering and Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Eric has over 20 years of experience selling advanced internet marketing technology and SaaS solutions to eCommerce merchants and Publishers generating substantial incremental revenue for these clients. Most recently, Eric served as VP Business Development at Group Commerce where he sold the social commerce solution to Hearst, Meredith, Reader's Digest, Priceline, Edmunds and others. Prior to this, Eric was at RichRelevance selling their advanced Personalization solutions to leading eCommerce providers. For four years prior to RichRelevance, Eric was at DoubleClick/Google where he sold Search Marketing and Affiliate Marketing services to clients including Citi, Barnes & Noble (BN.com), Capital One and others. Eric received his M.S. Communications from Syracuse University and his B.A. from University of Rochester.
